The Traffic Unit is under the direct command of Lieutenant Vicente Gonzalez. It is supervised by Sergeant Scott Simpson and is comprised of motorcycle officers and advanced crash investigators. In addition to traffic enforcement, the traffic unit responds to calls for service and provides traffic control for many community events.
