This course parallels the course that was taught for many years by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education based upon job-related research and has been updated to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

  4. TEEX Emergency Vehicle Operations Instructor

    Properly operating an emergency vehicle is critical for officer and public safety, as well as, agency liability reduction. This course is designed to train experienced instructors to deliver the Emergency Vehicle Operators course (EVOC) to their peers. This class is a realistic, high-stress, driving program that offers the participant 40 hours of actual driving time. The course curriculum was designed with input from the Texas Municipal League – Intergovernmental Risk Pool (TML_IRP) training and risk reduction staff. This course meets Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) requirements Course #78021.

  5. TPCA: Developing Leaders For Texas Law Enforcement

    This is a 120 hour course which is presented in three 40 hour weeks over a three month period. The course will provide instruction from the behavioral sciences that is both scientific and practical, with discussions, question and answer sessions, readings, video instruction and case studies as presentation methods. The course is designed for all members of any law enforcement agency sworn or civilian from FTO/PTO/1st line supervisor through the executive level.

  6. TPCA: Performance Appraisals & Employee Accountability

    This is a 12 hour course presented over 1 1/2 days. Lectures, discussions, case studies and interactive demonstrations are used to instruct the course. It is intended for those who desire to establish or improve evaluation methodologies, using sound and value driven leadership principles as well as supervisors who are responsible for administering appraisals. Although not intended to recommend specific systems, examples of forms and documentation methods will be presented.
