Our City of Pasadena Office of Emergency Management is in close contact with the following entities regarding Friday's barge collision: US Coast Guard, Pasadena Volunteer Fire Department TEXAS, Harris County Pollution Control and La Porte Office of Emergency Management. 

Jeff Wagner, Mayor of Pasadena has ordered El Jardin Beach closed.

Our fire department dispatch is closely monitoring the air-quality situation. The State of Texas will oversee water quality testing.
