Help us keep Pasadena beautiful! Pick a park, trail, waterway or street in the city and commit to cleaning it four times a year. After the second cleaning, a sign with your name or business will be posted at your adopted location. You set the schedule, and we will provide all of the equipment and safety gear you’ll need.
After each cleaning, you’ll fill out a short, one-page form about what you collected, which helps us get the right crews out there to pick up the trash and debris you gathered.
This is a great option for businesses, organizations and families, and it’s a good way for kids to earn volunteer hours. For more information, email us at volunteerpasadena@pasadenatx.gov and include "Adopt Programs" in the subject line.
Animal Shelter
Our animal shelter comes to the rescue of thousands of animals each year, and you can be part of that! Volunteers are needed Monday through Saturday to assist with walking animals, fostering pets, helping with animal adoptions and other duties.
This is the perfect fit for animal lovers who are looking to give back to the community. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian, or 16 years old to volunteer on their own.
All volunteers must be approved volunteers with the Volunteer Pasadena program and must also attend a one-hour orientation at the Pasadena Animal Shelter.
Pasadena Public Library
The Pasadena Public Library often needs volunteers to help with special events and programs, like shows for children, teen crafts, and a variety of classes. For more information email: loftin-shepherd@pasadenatx.gov (Central Branch) or ecornell@pasadenatx.gov (Farimont Branch)
